DISTANCES
From Germany: Livigno is just over 3 hours from Munich by car.
From Switzerland: Livigno is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from Zurich by car and 3 hours and 16 minutes by train. See www.sbb.ch for timetables and costs.
HOW TO GET THERE
Car
Anyone coming to Livigno from Europe will have to go over the Gallo Pass (Tunnel Munt la Schera), open all year round, which connects the town with Switzerland and go through Val Monastero from the Pass dal Fuorn. In summer Livigno is connected to Switzerland (via Bernina and St. Moritz) by the Forcola Pass.
From Milan you can get to Livigno via Lecco (SS36) and Bormio (SS38), taking the Foscagno Pass. Vehicles are required by law to have snow chains on board during the winter.
Train
From Italy, Tirano, at the end of the line from Milan, is the nearest station. A daily bus service connects Tirano to Livigno via Bormio-Passo Foscagno.
