From placid Argentinian horses to Arabian thoroughbreds, the new Riding Centre caters for all levels, from trotting in the paddock to several days' trekking. "The foundation course involves becoming familiar with the horse", explains instructor Silvia Tocco, 32, "learning the rules and how to communicate properly."

The one-week foundation course includes seven lessons to prepare you for your first steps outside the paddock. "Of course, it all depends on ability and personal inclination," continues Silvia, "three individual lessons is the minimum required before abandoning the fenced area". The children's club, led by qualified staff, caters for children of three and over.
