Room 102. Earth - the First Chakra

The Earth feelings room is a splendid double room and beautiful bathroom, and originates as a tribute to the traditional mountain homes to be found in Livigno, reworked in a contemporary vein.

A patchwork of materials which hark back to local and alpine culture. Ancient wood for the bed, a large stone and a log for bedside tables. Add a sofa with knitted cushions and a pendulum clock.

Walking barefoot on the ancient spruce floor is even more pleasant thanks to the characteristic local  "pezzotto della Valtellina" carpet. A worn leather bench and leather pouf tanned in keeping with old traditional methods. The wooden wardrobe calls to mind Livigno's Stua de Legn restaurant, and the old table, a souvenir from the past, blend in well with the contemporary furnishings.  

The walls alternate between deep red, the colour of vitality and courage, and snow-white. Parts of the walls are made of stone to bring home the underlying motif of the feeling room: the earth.
