Concordia Lounge BarExciting new atmosphere in the centre of LivignoFor afternoon tea, the best armchairs are the ones around the fireplace, where you'll be served a selection of teas accompanied by homemade biscuits and cakes. It's Apres ski time, so it's time to move outdoors to the Ice Bar, chiselled out of a cube of snow, inside which the well-wrapped up barman is making cocktails while jazz and lounge music play in the background. A big favourite is the Bombardino, invented right here in Livigno in 1969, a mix of equal parts vov, milk and whisky, served with whipped cream, no sugar. Or try vin brulè, Aperol spritz or any of a number of cocktails. Time passes pleasantly, and before you know it, it's aperitif time, or aperidinner, as it's known locally, and is a key moment in the day, featuring a huge buffet stretching from 17.30 to 21.00. A stream of tasty dishes keep arriving on the long table, from fried meatballs to steaming risotto to vegetable tempura to fish soup to rye bread canapès to....And for afters? Live music to round off your evening. |
