Artists from all over the world work against the clock to sculpt snow statues. In only one colour Livigno offers the magic backdrop where a special vision of the secrets which white hides from superficial gazes are revealed.

A mind gym to bounce ideas around in, a group of people in love with beauty, art and Livigno, who work together and join their skills to organise Art in Ice and to design new artistic initiatives.

Sculptors from all over the world visualise a cube of pressed snow and shape it in their minds as they prepare the plans and sketches which will be submitted to the jury. Only ten will arrive in Livigno to turn that snow cube into a work of art.

Photographs recording previous editions of Art in Ice and the sketches presented by the artists are the only remaining proof of the snow sculptures, those fleeting works of art which each year turn the town into an open air art gallery.
