Just look at the shop windows of Lungolivigno Fashion shops this summer, where images are displayed from the fine exhibition by Bruno Sananès, brought to you by Lungolivigno. It's all appropriate to the arrival of the Giro d'Italia and the World MTB and Trail Championships: the bicycle is the connecting theme that unites all three Lungolivigno boutiques, where you can find both the latest for the summer season and advance access to the fashions for the upcoming winter. The theme is made manifest in front of each shop: bicycles are available, free of charge, to Lungolivigno clients for their shopping and bike touring needs in the valley. Go from Connaction, in the Rin da Rin quarter, to Renna Sport, right in the center of town, and then on to Ostaria, where Da Giuseppina, one of Livigno's oldest stores, awaits you. A relaxing kilometer and a half with stops to try out some pants, cashmere sweaters or hi-tech parkas. Fill your lungs with mountain air and your eyes with the scenery as you cruise from one shop to another.
Furthermore, for the entire month of August 2005, whenever you make a purchase at one of the three Lungolivigno boutiques, you will automatically be making a contribution to Fratelli dell'Uomo. That's right. Every purchase at Da Giuseppina, Renna Sport and Connaction, will contribute to the funding of Ribiciclando. This initiative aims at training young people in countries struck by the Tsunami to become bicycle mechanics, allowing them to open repair shops in their villages once they have learned the trade. Ribiciclando also collects used bikes for shipment to the same Asian countries.
